Depends what pets you mean. If you mean hunter pets (The Frostsabre I want) then you can have 3. If you mean small pets (Like the White Kitten etc) then you can have as many as your bags, banks and mules will hold. But only one out at any time.

Lvl 10 - Bear
Lvl 18 (or something) - Killer seal
Lvl 20 - Cat
Lvl 30 - Cheetah

Shaman:

Lvl something - Ghost wolf (Dances on it's hind legs. adorable)

Thaaat's.. about it actually I think. Mainly the druid (no shit). I think they can turn into giant owlbears as well now. For what purpose you ask? Well, they got da MOOOOVES!

I am on an rp server, which inexplicably was swapped to a 'normal' server setting sometime last month.

I play on the non-pvp focus server, because I am an old hand from Lineage II, and nothing is more god damn annoying than to be ganked everytime you leave town because you are unable to type in French. For gods sake, I am serious!

What I do is max out my character, then migrate it to a pvp, then I dont have to worry about being level 5, hunting a raptor for a quest, and some idiot that is level 60 coming along and turning me into paste for the sheer joy of disrupting my level grind. I find that to be tremendously irritating, and irritating is something that is hard for most people to do me.

So yeah, I become a demigod, then I migrate over and have some fun

Actually it's not. I only play about 4 hours every 2 days or so, quite a bit more on weekends. Lately, I have had nothing but time though. I simply avoid all the cosmetical touches and blaze through quests. Faster that way.

mind telling how long it took to make a 60? (maybe not ur first seeing how it may have taken the longest) because my bro is at around 45, playing 6-7 hours each night after school strictly leveling

In total honesty, I have no idea. I make a character, and if I get bored with them, I start a new one, same race, and diff class, then do every single quest in an area, before moving on, and sell everything I get my hands on to vendortrash. If I get wool, i sell it for 1 gold per 20 lumps in the auction house.

I avoid all pvp, and all side-skinning crap, and merely do all quests. Then I worry about professions.

Right now, I am playing a Paladin, a dwarf, who is level 9, and I am obsessed with this character now, so the others are....asleep...

yeah i have a 13 almost 14 human rogue. i have been doin leatherworking and skinning (skinning at 105ish and leatherworking at 60). ppl pay a lot more than i expected for light leather, so i can make some money off that.

So it takes a lot of skill to go into any area, any zone, and never have to consider what skills you take, or what your attributes are? Seems less like skill and more like a love of large numbers to me.

Where is the skill? When do you have to consider your next move? Correct me if I am wrong, but it all comes down to either you are a high enough level to kill the monster or not, either you have the equipment to kill the mob, or you don't.

Bring up fire defense (if WoW has such things) and pray he is not based in ice/lightning/etc. In guild wars, you can see what your opponent is doing, and their for prepare effective counters, adapt to changes quickly, and actualy understand combat rather than just hope for the best.

It sounds to me like most of the people talking about guild wars's lack of skill are the folks who avoid any sort of formal PvP. I would much rather have a group of 8 against another group of 8, then a group of 40 against some boss. With 8, your group either plans things out, decides on a build, and thinks things through, or you get your (pardon my language) ass handed to you. With a group of 40, could you not just grab anyone you could get your hands on and have at the boss, killing him easily?

WoW appears to be about numbers. Large numbers. 60 skills on your bar? That takes skill to make a strong build with? Do you even need a strong build? 40 people in a group? Who needs organization when you know it will just degenerate into a bloody melee quickly.

I have considered purchasing WoW before, and I may again. For now, guild wars gives me more than I need, and I hope the prospective buyers of WoW fully consider what it is, what a game based on level and equipment can have to do with skill, before they make a decision.

Honestly, it is unfair to say either game requires "no skill." These games cannot and should not be compared in such a manner (since they are geared in totally different ways); so don't. Each takes a different type of skill to be effective.
